How an accessory was born that originally existed just to solve my own problem.

Repax was basically born out of frustration.

Frustration that the PAX vaporizer is an amazing piece of technology… yet so many everyday tasks around it were unnecessarily annoying.

Preparing the herb? Grinding it? Filling the oven? Too slow and too fiddly.

And traveling with it? Usually improvisation… and a mess everywhere.

So I told myself:

“Fine. I’ll just make it myself.”

First step: realizing how much it actually annoyed me.

It started quietly.

One small detail.

Then another.

And suddenly I realized I was spending half my time with the PAX thinking about how to load it as easily as possible and how to make the workflow smoother… instead of it all just working naturally and effortlessly.

I didn’t want a million accessories.

I wanted one solution that would:

 

• simplify preparation

• speed up grinding and handling

• make loading the PAX easier

• be travel-friendly

• allow clean, odor-free storage

• keep the herb fresh

• and most importantly… not be annoying

So I sat down, sketched the first drafts, and got to work.

Prototyping: chaos, 3D printing, and a few burned fingers

For a while my workshop looked like the lab of someone who has a complicated relationship with both cleaning and sleep.

Piles of prototypes.

A 3D printer running non-stop.

Tons of ideas — some great, some… less so.

I tested everything — in my pocket, on the go, at home, outside, in a taxi, stressed, relaxed.

If something didn’t work, it went straight into the “never again” pile.

 

If something did work… I refined it further.

Until the tools truly made preparing the PAX easier.

Not by a marketing team.

Not by a design agency.

But by someone who knows exactly where the PAX slows you down — and how to fix it.
